The Opportunity
Our client in the public sector is seeking a detail-oriented User Acceptance Tester to join their team for a 16-week contract with possibility of extension. As a UAT Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of technical solutions by validating them against business requirements and processes. You will work closely with both business and technical teams to develop and execute business test cases, ensuring that the technology solutions meet the needs of the frontline users and adhere to organizational policies and practices.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Collaborate with business and technical testers across various programs to understand business needs, requirements, processes, and rules.
- Develop and execute comprehensive business test cases to validate the functionality of technical solutions.
- Create detailed test plans and test scripts that accurately reflect business requirements and processes.
- Assist business areas in conducting testing activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Validate systems against business design documents to ensure alignment with business requirements and operations.
- Identify and document any discrepancies or defects in the system functionality and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Work closely with developers and business analysts to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to user acceptance testing.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

3+ years of proven experience in user acceptance testing or a similar role, preferably in a business or technology-driven environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in creating test plans, test scripts, and other testing documentation.

Experience with testing tools and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
