QA Engineer Beaverton, OR
Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Telestream's Lightspeed Live Play product team as a QA engineer. The products produced by this group are used in many high-profile live events (e.g. sports, music, reality TV).
Responsibilities:
- Identify and report issues, determine their root cause, and verify issues are resolved to the satisfy customer expectations.
- Perform functional, negative, stress, and regression testing.
- Maintain existing automation frameworks by adding new features and fixing stability issues to expand and improve upon the capabilities of automated tests.
- Develop automated tests as a part of the continuous integration system to minimize regression cycle time.
- Assists with executing testing scripts and plans to ensure that software meets established quality standards.
- Runs tests across multiple platforms and provides consistent and reliable test results.
Qualifications:
- Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Network and Digital Technology, or similar.
- 2+ years' experience in a QA/Testing role with a technology organization.
- Familiarity with digital media / video streaming / subtitling.
- Experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira.
- Working knowledge of unit, system, black-box, integration, load/stress, regression, usability and end-to-end testing.
Additional strengths:
- Experience with broadcast infrastructure (e.g. SDI, ST2110).
- Experience with using REST APIs either with a scripting/programming language or an application like Postman.
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Network and Digital Technology, or similar.
- Programming capability. (e.g., C#, Python).
