JOB TITLE: Tank Tester

REPORTS TO: Production Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
Purpose and Scope: As a Tank Tester at Amarillo Tanks, you will be an essential member of our Quality Assurance Team, ensuring the integrity and compliance of our tank products. Your role involves conducting thorough testing and inspections to guarantee the highest standards of quality, safety, and functionality in the production of innovative tank solutions.

Testing Protocols
- Develop, implement, and execute testing protocols for tanks to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer requirements.

Quality Inspections
- Perform visual inspections of tanks during and after the manufacturing process to identify defects, irregularities, or deviations from specifications.
- Collaborate with Production Manager to address and rectify any quality issues.

Documentation
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of testing procedures, results, and quality inspections.

Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment to guarantee accurate and reliable results.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly.

Safety Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards during testing activities.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns in the testing environment.

Process Improvement
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to testing processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.

Specific Tasks for Position
- Receive metal shipments and organize it in the proper area.
- Help Tank Plumber test all tanks for leaks before releasing them to the next department.
- Tacking correct tags on assigned tanks.
- Load and unload trailers with finished and unfinished tanks.
- Palatize and band tanks after the pass of tests.
- Use of impacts and basic hand tools.
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, cranes, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
- Experience in quality assurance, testing, or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with tank manufacturing processes and industry standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect and analyze defects.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
